VP, Cyber Security Engineer (Day 2 Operations)

Are you an experienced Cyber Security Engineer with extensive in-house experience managing security tools and applications? If so, you could be the VP, Cyber Security Engineer (Day 2 Operations) that our client is looking for. As VP, Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Primarily responsible for the ongoing maintenance, health monitoring, and optimisation of various security tools, including endpoint security platforms, SIEM systems, vulnerability scanners, DAM, and other relevant technologies.
• Perform regular health checks, patching, upgrades, and configuration audits of security tools.
• Troubleshoot issues related to security tool functionality and performance, working with vendors as needed.
• Contribute to the documentation of security tool configurations and maintenance procedures.
• Monitor the performance and licensing of security tools, ensuring optimal utilisation and compliance.
• Collaborate with security analysts and other team members to ensure tools are properly configured to support their operational needs.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in a cyber security role with significant involvement in managing security tools.
• Solid understanding of the architecture and functionality of common security tools.
• Experience with the maintenance, patching, and upgrading of enterprise-level security solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to technical security issues.
