Eames Consulting is currently partnering with a leading Lloyd's insurer on the appointment of a Compliance Manager. This role will be based in London and aids the Head of Compliance in driving robust compliance outcomes across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and Execution of Compliance Assurance Activities
- Develop and deliver the annual Compliance Oversight & Assurance Monitoring Plan, aligning with the business's broader compliance strategy and managing resources to support its execution.
Reporting and Insights
- Prepare and present compliance reports and management information (MI) to internal stakeholders, including the Head of Compliance, Executive Committee, and RCCC, using innovative methods to highlight key findings, performance, and breaches.
Investigation and Issue Management
- Lead special investigations and ad hoc oversight activities, identifying, analysing, and escalating incidents and breaches, including tracking outcomes and root cause analysis.
Framework Governance and Regulatory Awareness
- Manage and review the Compliance Oversight & Assurance Framework, ensuring alignment with evolving UK and international regulations and industry best practices.
Collaboration and Training
- Coordinate with other assurance functions (Risk, Internal Audit, Internal Controls) and provide support across the business, while identifying and addressing training needs to maintain a strong compliance culture.
Key Requirements:
- 7 + years working within compliance in the London insurance market.
- Excellent knowledge of the UK regulatory environment.
- Experience in establishing an assurance framework to test the effectiveness of controls.
- Significant understanding of specific insurance industry matters including trade and economic sanctions, AML, fraud, ABC, Lloyd's licences and anti-competitive behaviour.
