Research Lead - Cat Modelling

A global reinsurance advisory leader is looking for an experienced Research Lead to join their regional View of Risk team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with deep expertise in catastrophe modeling and a passion for applied research to help shape client understanding of Typhoon and Flood risk across a diverse and dynamic region.

In this high-impact role, you'll:

• Lead the development and evaluation of risk views for Typhoon and Flood across APAC

• Deliver research with commercial relevance, supporting client decision-making and model refinement

• Assess vendor cat models and recommend bespoke adjustments aligned to specific portfolios or geographies

• Collaborate with global teams, mentor junior colleagues, and present insights to internal and external stakeholders

Ideal Profile:

• Strong background in natural catastrophe modelling (vendor or in-house)

• Proficiency in technical tools such as Python, R, or SQL

• Experience applying climate science or long-term hazard research to practical risk quantification

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
