Chief Financial Officer
Location: West Yorkshire
Package: £150,000-£180,000 + Bonus + Equity
We are partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed business operating in the manufacturing and technical services space to appoint a Chief Financial Officer. With an ambitious buy-and-build strategy already well underway, the business is now entering a critical phase of scale-up and preparation for a successful exit.
This is a pivotal leadership role offering real influence, equity value creation, and the opportunity to help shape and deliver the business's journey through to a high-value PE exit.
The Opportunity
As CFO, you will play a key role in leading the organisation through continued growth and transformation, with a specific focus on exit planning and readiness. Working alongside an experienced CEO and a commercially astute Board, you'll be responsible for embedding the financial discipline, infrastructure, and insights required to optimise enterprise value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the financial strategy aligned to the business's growth and exit ambitions
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, group reporting, and performance management
- Act as the primary financial liaison to the private equity sponsor and external stakeholders
- Drive M&A execution and seamless integration of acquired businesses
- Oversee financial governance, controls, systems, and reporting enhancements to support scale
- Own the preparation and delivery of financial materials for due diligence and exit processes
- Provide leadership across finance and IT, ensuring readiness for both transformation and transaction
About You
You will bring:
- Proven CFO experience in a private equity-backed environment, ideally with a track record of delivering or supporting a PE exit
- Strong technical and commercial acumen with a hands-on, delivery-focused mindset
- Expertise in M&A execution, post-deal integration, and building scalable financial operations
- A clear understanding of value creation levers in a PE context
- Outstanding communication skills and a collaborative, low-ego leadership style
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or complex B2B service environments is beneficial
This is an outstanding opportunity to take a central role in a well-capitalised, ambitious business with a clear value creation plan. If you are a commercially astute CFO looking to lead a PE exit and realise equity upside in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.
