Pricing Actuary

A reputable insurance carrier is looking to hire an Actuary to their Commercial Pricing team. This is a fully remote positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform state product reviews and evaluate pricing structures.

• Refine manual rating plans, establish risk segmentation, and develop pricing recommendations.

• Assess rate adequacy to ensure ongoing financial success.

• Provide fresh perspectives and innovative approaches to enhance actuarial services.

• Analyze results and present findings to product, actuarial, and underwriting partners.

• Lead peer reviews, support onboarding and training, and contribute to knowledge sharing across the actuarial team.

• Document assumptions, methods, and considerations clearly and accurately.

• Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.

• Collaborate with regulators, auditors, and external vendors as needed.

• Apply data mining techniques and predictive modeling to identify opportunities and build analytical solutions.

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Prior General Liability experience strongly preferred.

• Proficiency in SQL, Databricks, and R.

• Exposure to predictive modeling and advanced analytical methods is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving and quantitative analysis skills with the ability to manage complex datasets.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present results clearly and persuasively.
