We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join a growing pensions project team, focusing on GMP rectification and equalisation. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, delivering high-quality project work, and driving improvements across data and implementation workstreams.

The role
As Team Leader, you'll be responsible for managing a team to deliver GMP projects on time, within budget, and to a consistently high standard. You'll also work closely with other team leaders and senior management to plan workloads, manage capacity, and ensure smooth delivery across the wider business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee scheduling and delivery of GMP projects, ensuring quality and efficiency

  • Act as escalation point on complex or urgent cases, reviewing work and providing guidance

  • Work with colleagues across data, resource planning, and client delivery teams to manage pipelines

  • Monitor budgets, utilisation, and time recording to minimise overruns and maximise revenue opportunities

  • Lead on performance management, coaching, and training needs within your team

  • Build collaborative relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders, attending client/project meetings where needed

  • Identify process improvements and business efficiencies

What we're looking for:

  • Proven people management experience within a project-based team environment

  • Background in UK defined benefit pensions, ideally with GMP rectification/equalisation exposure

  • Strong organisational skills, with a track record of managing and prioritising multiple projects

  • Confident in reviewing/checking colleagues' work and providing feedback

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with data

  • Adaptable, proactive, and keen to learn new skills

Desirable:

  • PMI or other relevant UK pensions qualifications

Why apply?
This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role in a high-profile area of the pensions market. You'll be part of a supportive team, with scope to influence processes, develop your leadership skills further, and play a key role in delivering projects that really matter.
