Project Manager (Corporate banking)

Seeking a Project Manager with deep corporate banking and technology solutioning expertise to lead strategic projects across Asia Pacific regions. This role partners with Product Owners, Transformation teams, and technical groups to deliver effective, compliant business solutions and drive efficiency within banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with internal business stakeholders to identify process challenges or opportunities and propose new initiatives for improvement.
• Perform technology solutioning; facilitate requirements gathering activities and provide leadership to analysis teams to define project scope; coordinate with technical specialists to align on suitable platform and solution strategies.
• Manage project planning activities, including resource identification, project scheduling, and budgeting; support Product Owners or Project Sponsors in formalizing and presenting Project Charters to senior management for approval.
• Lead project managers through the end-to-end execution of diverse projects, ensuring completion from initiation to closure within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Support teams in managing production applications and drive operational excellence.
• Oversee project administration, including forecasting resource needs, developing timeline estimates, and supporting management in presenting project proposals for approval.
• Ensure consistent governance, robust risk and issue management, and timely escalation to project sponsors.
• Build strong relationships and drive results in a collaborative environment, including managing external partners and offshore delivery teams.
• Promote change management principles and provide guidance across business-technology transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in corporate banking, banking operations, and project management.
• Expertise in Trade Finance, Loans, Deposits, Remittance and Treasury is a huge plus
• Familiarity with business process re-engineering and IT solutioning in financial services.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams, stakeholders, external partners, and offshore teams.
• Professional certification (e.g. PMP, ITIL/ITSM) preferred.
• Excellent analytical, planning, and communication skills for effective delivery and team management.
