Senior Calculations Consultant - Defined Benefits

Are you an experienced pensions professional who thrives on the technical detail of Defined Benefit schemes? We're looking for Senior Calculations Consultants to join a growing Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) business, where you'll play a key role in ensuring scheme members' benefits are managed with accuracy and care.

What you'll be doing

• Leading on the calculation of Defined Benefit quotations, including complex cases and non-standard member communications

• Ensuring accuracy and quality checks on all benefit calculations before they're issued

• Acting as a subject matter expert for DB pensions legislation and scheme rules within the team

• Supporting with scheme onboarding, valuations, data updates and bulk transfers

• Designing and delivering training to raise technical capability across the team

• Working closely with Trustees, intermediaries and colleagues to deliver excellent service and outcomes

What we're looking for

• A professional pensions qualification (CII, PMI) or equivalent experience working with DB schemes

• Strong knowledge of DB pension structures, benefits and legislation

• Experience of producing and checking complex benefit calculations

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships

• Strong judgement, analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work effectively in a high-performing team and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
