Global wealth management company is currently searching for a Group Head of FP&A to join their finance division. This is newly created role following a recent re-structure across finance and would report directly to the CFO. The main purpose of this role will be to lead the FP&A team, develop and drive the Group's financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis, and provide actionable insight that shapes strategic decisions across the business.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of 25 FTE across Financial Business Partnering, Data, and Financial Planning and Analysis teams.
* Oversight and development of the business planning process, aligned to the strategy planning process for the group.
* Implement systems, procedures and controls that produce timely, reliable and accurate information and forecasts for decision making.
* Work closely with Group and entity CFO's, Investor Relations, key stakeholders across the business within Finance to gather inputs to develop long-term strategic plans, annual budgets, operational analysis, and reporting. .
* Key input and leadership on resource allocation and business critical decisions. Drive strategic scenario testing with Group Risk to inform and shape transformation priorities, and stress test financial resilience across market conditions.
* Lead the sharing of financial insights across management, Group and entity boards, and wider business via written and verbal communication.
* Provide key input on communication on month, quarter and year-end reporting, including external market, management and Board presentations.
* Working alongside the central data team and take lead responsibility for ensuring robust, high quality capture and controlled management of Financial data.
* Lead on the provision of controlled, timely and accurate financial data and MI across Finance, and into the business, to support decision making across a range of stakeholders.
* Ensure robust governance and control over data, forecasting, performance reporting, and financial insight; support regulatory and statutory reporting processes by ensuring alignment of internal analysis and forecasts, and board communications with external reporting obligations
Requirements:
· Extensive experience across financial planning, budgeting and forecasting cycles within the asset/wealth management industry - Essential
· Deep knowledge of controls and procedures and commitment to ensuring the accuracy and consistency of financial data and analysis
· Broad knowledge of the key value drivers and financial mechanics of a financial services organisation,
· Strong commercial awareness with understanding of market trends, competitive positioning, and the economic environment as they relate to forecasting, planning, and strategic decision-making.
· Significant experience of presenting to EXCO/Board members and C-Suite stakeholders.
· Strategic mindset, with the ability to shape, challenge, and influence business planning, and financial target-setting based on forward-looking insight and data interpretation
· Proven experience across financial systems and planning tools, including ERP systems, financial modelling and projection systems, data analysis, visualisation and dashboarding tools (e.g. R, SQL, Power BI), and Excel-based modelling
· Exposure to long term pension related investments (annuities etc) and working with actuarial teams - preferred but not essential
· Qualified Accountant with significant post qualified experience (Ideally ACA or CIMA)
This is a highly commercial finance role which will involve regular interaction with key stakeholders both internally and externally, so it therefore essential that you have strong interpersonal skills. The role offers realistic career progression to a C-Suite role in future and offers a hybrid flexible working environment with 2 days in the office.
