A leading (re)insurer is seeking an experienced Property & Casualty Underwriter to join their growing Chelmsford team. This is a pivotal role where you'll combine technical underwriting expertise with strong broker engagement, helping to drive profitable growth across a diverse and evolving portfolio.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead underwriting for complex commercial property and/or casualty risks, with authority to write and retain key business.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery.

• Collaborate across pricing, claims, and risk engineering teams to shape underwriting strategy and achieve business goals.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience underwriting large or complex P&C risks.

• Strong negotiation and trading skills, with confidence managing broker relationships.
