A leading UK insurer is looking for a Senior Motor Underwriter to help shape, grow, and optimise their core Motor portfolio. You'll join a forward-thinking underwriting team that's evolving fast, using data, insight and market expertise to stay competitive in an ever-changing landscape.

This is a high-impact role where you'll drive portfolio performance, influence underwriting strategy, and work closely with fraud, pricing, and trading teams to ensure products stay relevant, profitable, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead portfolio management for core Motor lines, analysing performance and shaping strategic actions.

• Strengthen underwriting quality through risk management, controls, and collaboration with fraud and trading teams.

• Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and underwriting practices to keep products competitive and aligned with customer outcomes.

What You'll Bring

• Solid background in personal lines underwriting - Motor preferred - with experience managing portfolios.

• Strong analytical capability, comfortable interpreting data and working with tools like SQL.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and the ability to deliver in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
