I'm supporting a life reinsurer looking for a Pricing Manager to join their Protection team. It's a brilliant role if you enjoy that mix of hands-on technical work, people leadership and being close to commercial conversations.

What you'll be doing:
You'll take ownership of a range of Protection pricing work, including reviewing quotes, shaping assumptions, overseeing experience analysis and supporting ongoing treaty activity. There's a nice balance of technical depth and partnering with internal teams on projects, queries and process improvements.

You'll also be a key voice in the team, helping set priorities, representing pricing to senior stakeholders and supporting the development of more junior colleagues.

Key parts of the role:

• Lead and review Protection quotes and pricing deliverables.

• Ensure accuracy of data, experience analysis and assumptions.

• Support commercial negotiations and balance risk with commercial needs.

• Build strong internal relationships across Protection and beyond.

• Help improve tools, processes and use of technology.

• Input into new product and proposition ideas.

• Contribute to team planning, culture and people development.

• Keep close to Protection market activity and trends.

What they're looking for:

• Qualified actuary.

• Solid understanding of the UK Protection market.

• Experience leading or guiding others.

• Strong foundation in Protection pricing.

• Good judgement when working with uncertainty.

• Clear communicator who can work with a mix of technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong Excel skills; exposure to R, Python, VBA or Power BI is a bonus.
