Underwriting Governance Manager

A leading UK health insurer is looking for an Underwriting Governance Manager to strengthen their pricing and underwriting oversight as part of a major transformation programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting governance across Corporate, SME and Individual products, owning philosophies, manuals and business rules.

• Conduct case reviews, audits and QA to assess underwriter competence and identify areas for improvement.

• Design and deliver underwriting testing frameworks, closing knowledge gaps with senior managers.

• Partner with pricing, risk, compliance and underwriting teams to ensure aligned, well-informed governance practices.

What You'll Bring

• Deep understanding of PMI underwriting and pricing approaches, particularly corporate risk.

• Strong grasp of regulatory requirements and governance in large, complex organisations.

• Exceptional communication, influencing skills and the ability to translate technical concepts clearly.
