Operations Director

Eames are exclusively partnering with private equity backed solar energy business to hire an Operations Director.

This is a senior leadership role requiring strong strategic thinking, excellent people management, and deep operational expertise within the renewable energy, electrical, or construction sectors.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership & Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies to support company growth across installation and field service divisions.
• Field Operations Management: Oversee daily operations for installation teams, maintenance technicians, and subcontractors.
• Project Delivery & Quality Control: Ensure all installation and service projects meet technical standards, industry regulations, and internal quality expectations.
• Health, Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Champion a safety-first culture across all field operations and install teams.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop field managers, project leaders, and operational support staff.
• Customer Experience & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with sales, engineering, and customer service teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Process Improvement & Technology: Identify opportunities for operational improvements, cost reduction, and workflow optimisation.

Person Requirements:

• Proven experience in an operations leadership role within solar PV, electrical contracting, construction, or renewable energy.
• Strong understanding of solar installation processes, field service operations, and technical standards.
• Demonstrated experience managing large field teams and multi-site operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic-planning capabilities.
