Senior Ceded Re Technician

A leading insurer is seeking an experienced Senior Ceded Reinsurance Technician to join their growing reinsurance function. This is a hands-on technical role, managing a portfolio of treaties and facultative placements, ensuring accurate administration, timely recoveries, and strong support to underwriting, claims, and finance teams.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing your own portfolio of reinsurance contracts, ensuring accurate data, endorsements and compliance with terms.
• Running month-end processes, tracking ceded claims, and ensuring recoveries are correctly identified, calculated and submitted.
• Producing proportional and excess of loss accounts, preparing broker documentation, and maintaining strong credit control.
• Supporting continuous improvement of systems, processes, and controls within the reinsurance team.
• Acting as a senior point of reference, assisting with peer review and deputising for management when required.

What you'll bring:

• c10+ years' London Market reinsurance administration experience.
• Strong understanding of facultative, proportional, XoL, reinstatements, adjustments and related calculations.
• Excellent data accuracy, attention to detail and comfort working with high-volume technical information.
• Clear communicator who can support stakeholders across underwriting, claims, operations and broking.
• Proactive, organised, and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
