Schemes Lead Portfolio Analyst

A leading specialist insurer is hiring a Schemes Lead Portfolio Analyst to shape performance and profitable growth across its MGA portfolio. This is a high-impact role sitting at the intersection of portfolio strategy, analytics, underwriting and senior leadership, with real influence over how delegated authority business is selected, managed and scaled.

Key responsibilities

• Lead portfolio performance and strategy across an existing MGA book, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.

• Analyse new MGA opportunities to assess risk, return and strategic fit.

• Deliver data-led insight and visualisation to senior underwriting leadership, including large case review.

• Build analytical frameworks, tools and data standards to support active portfolio management.

What we're looking for

• Strong experience in portfolio or performance management, with clear MGA exposure.

• Advanced analytical capability (R, SQL and Power BI highly valued).

• Confident, commercial communicator able to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally.
