Reserving & Capital Actuary / Analyst

Where actuarial rigour meets real regulatory impact.

A UK specialty insurer is looking to add a Reserving & Capital Actuary / Analyst into a close-knit actuarial team, working directly with the Head of Reserving & Capital. This role offers broad exposure across reserving, Solvency II and capital modelling, with genuine visibility across the business.

Key Responsibilties:

• Support reserving analysis across delegated authority and single-risk portfolios.

• Contribute to Solvency II reporting, SCR calculations and capital assessments.

• Assist with technical provisions, AFR production and regulatory submissions.

• Partner with finance, underwriting and risk teams to embed actuarial insight into decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Actuarial background with experience in reserving and/or capital under Solvency II.

• Strong analytical capability with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.

• Commercially aware, detail-focused and keen to broaden actuarial exposure.
