Role Summary
An opportunity to join a growing loan operations function supporting a diversified portfolio of debt and lending products. The role focuses on accurate life cycle processing, stakeholder coordination, and maintaining strong operational controls across loan servicing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer loan transactions and maintain accurate trade and cash flow records throughout the full life cycle.
- Process life cycle events including drawdowns, repayments, refinancing, rollovers, and rate settings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and issue payment, interest, fee, and rate-related notices in accordance with transaction terms.
- Reconcile payments and balances, investigate breaks, and proactively identify potential settlement or timing issues.
- Manage operational queries and exceptions, escalating matters as appropriate.
- Support data integrity, operational risk management, and control standards across loan processing and reporting.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across investment, finance, treasury, risk, and technology functions.
- Coordinate with external agents, counterparties, custodians, and banking partners to resolve settlement and payment issues.
- Support audits, system testing, and ongoing operational initiatives.
- Contribute to the enhancement of operational procedures, controls, and process efficiencies.
Skills & Experience
- Preferable 5 years in loan operations, loan servicing, or debt product support within a financial services or institutional environment.
- Exposure to bilateral and/or syndicated loan structures; experience with project or asset-backed lending is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to interpret loan and credit documentation and translate terms into operational processing requirements.
- Understanding of loan life cycle events and cash flow mechanics.
- Familiarity with industry-standard loan administration or settlement platforms and payment messaging formats.
- Strong Excel and general Microsoft Office skills.
- Good attention to detail, analytical capability, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset with an interest in improving processes and controls.
