Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous skill development.
  • Develop and deliver strategic tax solutions, including end-to-end compliance and advisory services across a wide range of industries.
  • Oversee the execution of tax engagements, from planning and review to final delivery, ensuring high quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage tax controversy matters, including responses to tax authorities and resolution of complex issues.
  • Provide expert advice on tax implications related to M&A, cross-border transactions, IPOs, corporate restructuring, and tax due diligence.
  • Drive business development initiatives, including the creation of thought leadership content and client-facing marketing collateral.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships while identifying new opportunities for growth.
  • Lead and support domestic and international tax consulting projects, including coordination across regional and global teams.
  • Collaborate with Audit and Advisory teams to develop integrated go-to-market strategies and deliver client solutions.
  • Implement tax accounting policies in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or other applicable standards.
  • Support ad-hoc tax initiatives and firm-wide projects as required by senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Business, or a related field; ACCA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in corporate and individual tax compliance and advisory, ideally with both in-house and professional services exposure.
  • Accredited member of the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals (SCTP).
  • Proven leadership, analytical, and project management skills with a strong track record of leading teams and delivering results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Committed to long-term career growth with the ambition to progress to partnership level.
