Senior Longevity Consultant
📍 London / Edinburgh / Glasgow (hybrid)

We're working with a growing Insurance, Actuarial & Longevity practice that's currently being built out as part of a wider strategic investment programme.

This team brings together two well-established actuarial businesses into a single platform, with a clear ambition to create a leading advisory capability across insurance, longevity and investment. It's very much a growth phase, with strong internal momentum and a real focus on expanding both UK and international client work.

The role

This is a Senior Consultant position within the Longevity team, offering a strong mix of technical work and project leadership.

The focus is on helping insurers and reinsurers understand and manage longevity risk, with exposure across both modelling and transaction-related work.

You'll be responsible for leading the day-to-day delivery of projects, working closely with senior stakeholders and contributing to broader client engagements.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading delivery of longevity projects for insurance and reinsurance clients
  • Supporting longevity risk analysis across transactions (including BPA and longevity swaps)
  • Contributing to internal model development and validation work
  • Setting and reviewing longevity assumptions for pricing and reserving
  • Delivering longevity trend modelling and wider advisory work
  • Working closely with wider teams across risk transfer and longevity analytics
  • Supporting client relationships and contributing to broader project discussions

What they're looking for

  • Strong experience in longevity within an insurance or reinsurance environment (essential)
  • Background in either consultancy or industry, with exposure to client-facing work
  • Qualified or part-qualified actuary with relevant post-qualification experience
  • Ability to lead projects and manage competing priorities
  • Strong technical grounding across longevity modelling and assumptions
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, evolving environment

Why this role stands out

  • Part of a genuine growth story, not a restructure
  • Access to a broader and more diverse client base, including international exposure
  • Strong mix of technical modelling and transaction work
  • Continued access to leading longevity tools and datasets, including Club Vita capabilities
  • Opportunity to work across a combined platform with complementary strengths

Additional details

  • Hybrid working (typically 2 days in the office)
  • Offices in London, Edinburgh and Glasgow
  • Competitive salary and benefits package
