Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly numerate and motivated Pricing Analyst to join a leading Pricing team. You will play a key role in supporting the development of pricing models for annuity business, including bulk annuities, and helping the team deliver accurate and insightful analysis across a range of projects. This is a great opportunity to grow your actuarial skills in a collaborative environment while contributing to meaningful business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and maintenance of scalable pricing models for annuity business within agreed risk tolerances.
- Prepare, analyse, and investigate policyholder data to inform pricing, addressing gaps and inconsistencies as needed.
- Conduct experience investigations to identify factors influencing pricing assumptions.
- Assist with valuation reporting, including Solvency II, UK GAAP, and IFRS17.
- Undertake ad hoc tasks as required to support departmental objectives.
Core Competencies:
Mandatory:
- Studying towards FIA (OR given up exams)
- Experience in data analysis with the ability to investigate and resolve data issues independently
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and Word
- Clear communication skills with the ability to propose solutions and work independently while seeking support when needed
- Good time management with the ability to meet deadlines
- Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Desirable:
- Knowledge of UK Defined Benefit pensions and reinsurance structures
- Understanding of actuarial concepts related to annuity pricing and valuation
