Senior AI Engineer

We are partnering with a leading financial institution currently undergoing a significant digital transformation. They are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join their Core AI team. This is a pivotal role where you will bridge the gap between advanced research and production-grade financial solutions, impacting everything from algorithmic trading and risk assessment to hyper-personalised customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect & Deploy: Lead the design and deployment of scalable AI/ML models (NLP, LLMs, Computer Vision, or Predictive Analytics) within a secure cloud environment.
• End-to-End Engineering: Take ownership of the full ML lifecycle, including data pipeline construction, feature engineering, model training, and CI/CD integration.
• Optimisation: Fine-tune large-scale models for low-latency financial applications, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Quant Researchers to translate complex business requirements into technical AI roadmaps.
• Governance & Ethics: Ensure all AI solutions adhere to strict financial regulations, focusing on model explainability, bias mitigation, and data privacy.

Technical Requirements

• Education: A Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field.
• Programming: Mastery of Python and experience with C++ or Java in a production environment.
• AI Frameworks: Deep expertise in PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras.
• Tooling: Strong experience with MLOps tools (Kubeflow, MLflow) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Big Data: Proficiency with Spark, Flink, or similar distributed processing frameworks.
• Domain Knowledge: Previous experience within Financial Services (Banking, Insurance, or Hedge Funds) is highly desirable but not mandatory for a standout technical candidate.
