Matthew started his career as a Lloyd’s underwriter leaving to join an global recruitment firm in 1998. After quickly becoming their top-performing Consultant globally, Matthew left the business and founded Eames Consulting Group in 2002.
As part of the Board, he defines and oversees the group’s strategy, both locally and internationally and has seen the business grow year on year since its inception to over 130 employees across offices in London, Zürich, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Having worked within the insurance market for almost a decade as an underwriter and then as an executive recruiter, Matthew’s vision for Eames was to be defined by specific niches, delivered by consultants who are experts within those fields.
Matthew currently serves as the Managing Partner of Eames Partnership, the executive search arm of the business. Matthew still plays an active role at Eames Consulting Group, focused on supporting consultants with business development and client engagement, as well as having a strong focus on culture and internal hiring.
Matthew's dedication and perseverance have resulted in Eames becoming a recognised and respected global firm, collecting a number of industry awards and accolades in recent years.
