A growing pensions data team is looking to hire a Lead Data Consultant to take ownership of a portfolio of DB schemes and play a key role in delivering complex data solutions.
This is a senior, client-facing role focused on strategy, oversight and relationship management, rather than pure delivery.
The role
You'll act as the trusted adviser to clients, leading on data strategy and overseeing delivery across a range of projects.
This will include:
- Leading data work across DB pension schemes
- Advising on complex rectification projects (including GMP and Barber)
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Overseeing delivery teams and ensuring high-quality outputs
- Managing multiple schemes simultaneously
- Identifying and supporting further work opportunities
You'll be working across a varied portfolio, with team sizes depending on the scale of each scheme.
What they're looking for
- Strong DB pensions data experience
- Hands-on exposure to data rectification work (GMP, Barber etc.)
- Ability to get into the detail and challenge technical outputs
- Confident communicator with strong client-facing experience
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
This role won't suit someone who is purely relationship-led without the technical grounding.
Package
- £70,000 - £110,000 base salary
- Hybrid working (typically 1 day per week in office)
- Flexible location across UK offices
- Some client travel required
- Open to 4-day working
Why consider it
- Established and growing team with a strong pipeline of work
- Opportunity to take real ownership of client relationships
- Varied and complex project work
- Clear progression and strong earning potential at senior level
