Engineering Lead / Solutions Architect

We are partnered with a well established global financial institution to hire a engineering lead / solutions architect. This is a senior individual contributor role where you will drive architecture design and technology decisions across APAC.

You will work closely with business and engineering teams to design scalable, secure, and data driven solutions. The role offers strong exposure to cloud, data platforms, and regional transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end to end architecture across applications, data, and infrastructure
• Build proofs of concept and pilot solutions using modern technologies
• Drive cloud adoption with a focus on Azure
• Define and maintain architecture standards, guidelines, and documentation
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure smooth system integration
• Support data platforms including data warehouse and analytics systems
• Conduct architecture reviews, feasibility studies, and impact assessments
• Lead transformation initiatives including low code and process automation platforms
• Manage external vendors and ensure delivery quality
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements

Requirements

• Experience as an IT Architect, Systems Analyst, or Senior Engineer
• Strong understanding of architecture design, design patterns, and system integration
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure
• Strong knowledge of data. Data warehouse, data modelling, analytics
• Exposure to low code platforms or business process automation tools is a plus
• Familiar with Agile and DevOps practices
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments is preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across regions
