Group Financial Controller
PE-backed Professional Services Organisation
London (Hybrid)
£120,000-£130,000 + bonus + benefits
Role Summary
We are partnering with a rapidly expanding, PE-backed organisation within the professional services space for an upcoming senior finance appointment. The business is scaling at pace through a combination of organic growth and targeted acquisitions.
This hire will play a pivotal role in shaping and strengthening the finance function. As Group Financial Controller, you will take ownership of consolidated reporting, financial planning, cash management, and compliance across the Group, while supporting the strategic agenda set by the CFO and investors. You will also lead and develop a small team, with the opportunity to develop this further as the cycle plays out.
Core Responsibilities
* Own the integrity and cadence of Group financial reporting, ensuring highly reliable, decision-grade consolidated outputs that provide clear visibility of performance across all entities and support board and investor requirements. This includes oversight of close processes, reporting frameworks, and management information used to drive accountability and performance.
* Safeguard financial governance and control across the Group, ensuring robust audit readiness, disciplined close processes, and a consistently strong control environment that scales effectively with acquisition-led growth and increasing operational complexity.
* Lead the Group's performance narrative through integrated planning, forecasting, and analysis, connecting operational drivers to financial outcomes and enabling sharper decision-making across the business. Partner with the CFO to support value creation planning and long-term strategic execution.
* Maintain full visibility and control over Group liquidity and capital position, ensuring disciplined cash flow forecasting, efficient working capital management, and tightly governed treasury and payment processes across all entities.
* Ensure compliance and financial integrity across all statutory, tax, and payroll obligations, embedding consistency and reliability in external reporting while reinforcing governance standards as the Group expands.
* Build and scale a high-performing finance capability, developing a team and finance infrastructure that supports growth, improves efficiency, and strengthens the quality, speed, and consistency of financial insight and control.
* Support the execution and integration of acquisitions, ensuring newly acquired businesses are rapidly aligned into Group reporting, control, and operating frameworks, and that synergies and standardisation opportunities are effectively realised.
