IT Solutions Architect - Enterprise Platforms & Core Solutions

We are partnered with a well-established global financial institution to hire an IT Architect. This is a regional role where you will drive architecture design and technology decisions across APAC.

You will work closely with business and engineering teams to design scalable, secure, and data-driven solutions. The role offers strong exposure to cloud, data platforms, and regional transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end architecture across transaction processing systems, high-performance calculation engines, and downstream financial reporting workflows.

• Build high-availability API strategies, event-driven integrations, and orchestration patterns to support a seamless, end-to-end product lifecycle from ingestion to final settlement.

• Build proofs of concept and pilot solutions using modern technologies to evaluate complex risk processing and automated decisioning matrices.

• Drive cloud adoption with a focus on Azure, ensuring secure, resilient multi-region infrastructure for highly sensitive operational and customer data.

• Define and maintain architecture standards, integration guidelines, and technical documentation for cross-border platforms.

• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure smooth system integration, data privacy compliance, and strict service-level availability.

• Support high-scale data platforms, including data warehouses, modern lakehouses, and near-real-time analytical engines used for predictive forecasting and exposure monitoring.

• Conduct architecture reviews, feasibility studies, and impact assessments on legacy core system modernization paths.

• Lead transformation initiatives, including low-code tools and business process automation platforms to streamline intake pipelines and administrative workflows.

• Manage external vendors and third-party software providers to ensure delivery quality and alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend structural improvements to optimize transaction costs and data throughput

Requirements

• Proven experience as an IT Architect, Systems Analyst, or Senior Engineer, ideally working on highly configured enterprise application platforms or complex product lifecycle systems.

• Strong understanding of architecture design, microservices, secure API design patterns, and distributed system integration.

• Hands-on or deep architectural design experience with cloud platforms, specifically Azure.

• Advanced knowledge of data architecture, including high-volume data warehousing, structured data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and predictive analytics platforms.

• Exposure to low-code platforms, rules engines, or business process automation tools is a plus.

• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and mature DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code).

• Experience in financial services, large-scale multi-tier transactional environments, or highly regulated industries is preferred.

• Strong communication and influential skills with the ability to engage technical teams and business stakeholders across the APAC region.
