Our client is a leading global investment organisation with a strong focus on technology, innovation, and cybersecurity resilience. This is a hands-on engineering role responsible for designing, implementing, and enhancing enterprise data security solutions to safeguard critical business information across on-premise and cloud environments. The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to strengthen the organisation's data protection capabilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and enhance enterprise data security solutions to protect sensitive data across on-premise and cloud environments.
- Lead the deployment and optimisation of technologies including Microsoft Purview, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Database Activity Monitoring (DAM), and other enterprise data protection solutions.
- Develop and enhance capabilities for data discovery, classification, encryption, masking, tokenisation, and information rights management.
- Evaluate and implement cybersecurity technologies through proof-of-concept (POC) and proof-of-value (POV) initiatives, while partnering with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into enterprise platforms.
- Provide technical expertise, architecture guidance, and documentation to continuously strengthen the organisation's data security posture.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of IT experience, including a minimum of 8 years in Cybersecurity or Information Security.
- Proven hands-on experience implementing enterprise data security technologies, with expertise in Microsoft Purview, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Database Activity Monitoring (DAM), or similar data protection platforms.
- Experience securing enterprise environments across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with scripting or programming skills in Python, Java, C#, or similar languages.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across technology and business teams.
