We have partnered with an established private banking institution to look for an Application Developer to bridge the gap between financial crime technology and banking operations. You will take ownership of developing, configuring, and optimising anti-money laundering (AML) and fraud detection systems, while working directly with Business Analysts and Compliance partners to translate regulatory requirements into technical realities.
A critical component of this role involves collaborating on data flows and event triggers originating from core banking systems
Key Responsibilities
- Core Actimize Development: Design, develop, and maintain detection models, custom rules, and alert workflows using Actimize Intelligence Server (AIS) and Visual Modeler.
- Core Banking Integration: Collaborate with core banking technical teams to ensure seamless data ingestion and pipeline integration between Avaloq data structures and Actimize modules.
- Database & Query Optimization: Write, debug, and optimize complex SQL scripts and stored procedures to handle high-volume data mapping, profiling, and transaction monitoring.
- Business Liaison & Translation: Function as the technical subject matter expert during workshops with Business Analysts and Compliance users, translating complex business scenarios into clear technical specifications.
- Platform Support & Maintenance: Maintain and configure the ActOne/RCM investigator platform, ensuring system stability, troubleshooting backend Java services, and optimizing web API routing.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in financial technology development, with at least 3 to 4 years dedicated specifically to NICE Actimize implementations.
- Proven hands-on proficiency with Actimize AIS, Visual Modeler, CDD/WLF/SAM modules, and enterprise SQL (Oracle, MS-SQL, or PostgreSQL).
- Prior exposure to core banking platforms, with a strong preference for candidates who understand Avaloq data schemas, object models, or messaging interfaces.
- Solid understanding of Java frameworks and web technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, or REST APIs) for platform customization and integration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to challenge, guide, and collaborate effectively with non-technical business partners.
Due to strict regulatory and work visa restrictions for this position, this role is open to Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs) only.
