Our client, a leading financial institution with a significant technology footprint across Singapore and the wider APAC region, is looking for an IT Risk & Incident Manager to sit at the intersection of technology risk governance and major incident response.
This is a hands-on role for someone equally comfortable leading a live incident bridge and holding a technology risk conversation with senior stakeholders and regulators.
What you'll do
- Provide first-line technology risk governance across the technology function, covering policy review, gap assessment and alignment to internal and regulatory standards
- Lead the response to major and critical technology incidents, owning command, priorities, decision rights and stakeholder communication
- Balance recovery urgency against risk, cyber security, change-control and data-integrity considerations
- Translate technical incidents into clear business-impact updates for senior management and governance forums
- Support regulator-facing colleagues with accurate incident reporting for MAS and other APAC regulators
- Facilitate post-incident reviews, challenge root-cause quality and timeliness, and track corrective actions to closure
- Identify recurring incidents and control weaknesses, escalating through problem management and governance channels
- Monitor third-party performance during incidents against contractual service levels and operational-resilience obligations
- Lead technology risk, resilience and remediation projects end to end, including scope, budget and delivery planning
What you'll bring
- Banking experience is essential; this role requires a solid understanding of a bank's technology, risk and control environment
- Proven experience in technology risk management and major incident management within a regulated financial services environment
- Working knowledge of incident, problem and change management frameworks
- Experience engaging senior stakeholders and, ideally, regulatory bodies (MAS or equivalent APAC regulators)
- Strong root-cause analysis and remediation-tracking discipline
- Comfortable operating under pressure during live incidents while keeping an eye on governance and control
Why apply
Broad, senior-facing remit spanning risk governance, incident leadership and project delivery. A strong next step for someone who wants ownership across the full technology risk and resilience lifecycle, not just one slice of it.
