I'm partnering with a growing team building AI-powered applications, intelligent agents, and production-grade AI solutions. They're looking for a Senior Python & AI Engineer who can help take these systems from experimentation and POCs into reliable, scalable production environments.

This is an engineering-first AI role with a strong focus on Python, LLMs, and applied AI. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building, adapting, and fine-tuning LLMs and developing AI applications that solve real business problems.

Data engineering experience is a plus, but strong Python and LLM/AI experience is the priority.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, fine-tune, and deploy AI/ML and LLM solutions using Python.
• Develop production-grade LLM applications, AI agents, and intelligent workflows.
• Experiment with LLMs, foundation models, prompts, retrieval strategies, and agent architectures.
• Work with RAG, tool calling, agent orchestration, prompt engineering, and model adaptation.
• Evaluate and optimize AI systems for quality, reliability, performance, and business impact.
• Build APIs and services that integrate AI capabilities with enterprise platforms and business applications.
• Work with both structured and unstructured data to support AI applications.
• Take AI solutions from initial experimentation and POCs through deployment and ongoing improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and business stakeholders to translate complex problems into practical AI solutions.

What We're Looking For

• Strong Python software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience developing, training, fine-tuning, or adapting LLMs/foundation models.
• Experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions in production.
• Strong understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle, including evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Experience with LLM applications, RAG, AI agents, or similar technologies.
• Experience working with APIs, data integrations, and cloud-based environments.
• Ability to take AI concepts beyond experimentation and build reliable, scalable applications.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with both technical and business stakeholders.

Data engineering experience is a bonus rather than a requirement. Experience with data pipelines, cloud platforms, modern data platforms, or large-scale data processing is valuable, but candidates with strong Python, LLM, and AI engineering backgrounds are the priority.
