Eames are partnering with a high-growth, recently PE-backed SaaS business to appoint a Finance Manager.
This is a pivotal "Number 2" role. It is designed specifically for a high-calibre first-time mover from practice to take full ownership of the finance function, professionalising the department as the business scales toward its next valuation milestone.
Title: Finance Manager
Location: London, United Kingdom
Work Pattern: Hybrid, 3 Days Office
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 + Potential Future Equity
Key Responsibilities:
- Functional Ownership: Act as the lead for all day-to-day finance operations, taking full responsibility for the end-to-end month-end process and financial accuracy.
- SaaS Metrics & Growth: Establish and track critical SaaS performance indicators—including ARR, Churn, and LTV/CAC—providing the commercial insights necessary to drive the growth strategy.
- Scaling the Function: Transition the finance department from a foundational setup to a robust scale-up model by implementing disciplined controls, automated workflows, and advanced reporting.
- Strategic Reporting: Manage the delivery of monthly board packs, providing the CEO and PE investors with clear, high-impact commentary on financial performance.
- Compliance & Technical Lead: Own the year-end audit, statutory accounts, and tax compliance (including VAT and R&D tax credits), ensuring the business is "audit-ready" at all times.
- Future Leadership: As the business continues its trajectory, you will be responsible for growing and mentoring the finance team to match the increasing complexity of the organisation.
Skills:
- Qualified: ACA (or equivalent) qualified, ideally from a Top 20 practice background.
- First-Time Mover: Specifically seeking an ambitious individual looking to make their first move from practice into a commercial, industry-based role.
- Tech Enthusiast: A genuine interest in the SaaS landscape and the desire to work within a fast-paced, agile scale-up environment.
- Analytical Rigour: Strong technical accounting foundations combined with the ability to translate data into a strategic narrative.
- Proactive Mindset: A "builder" mentality—someone who is comfortable operating independently and taking initiative to improve processes.
Package:
- Base Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 (DOE)
- Equity: Opportunity for future participation in the company’s equity / share option scheme.
- Environment: A collaborative, mission-driven culture within a high-potential tech business.
- Flexibility: Hybrid working model (3 days in-office in London).
