We're recruiting for a Risk Pricing Manager to join a leading insurance technology company. This is a strategic-technical role where you'll drive profitability and competitiveness by building innovative pricing strategies that balance risk, market positioning, and business growth across different trades.

This isn't just technical pricing; you'll act as a vital bridge between technical and non-technical teams, translating complex analytical concepts into actionable business insights. You'll have a genuine impact by crafting evidence-based pricing models, future-proofing practices against regulatory changes, and mentoring the next generation of pricing talent in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and refine technical pricing models to accurately quantify risk and optimise pricing structures, conducting detailed risk assessments to understand how internal and external factors influence market dynamics and developing effective mitigation strategies
  • Monitor portfolio performance closely, making real-time adjustments to pricing strategies to consistently hit profitability targets while utilizing advanced tools like Python, R, SQL, and industry-standard software (Earnix, Radar, Emblem) to improve model accuracy
  • Partner cross-functionally with underwriting, actuarial, and product development teams to ensure unified pricing strategies aligned with business objectives and market competitiveness
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor movements to ensure pricing remains market-leading, while mentoring junior team members and fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture

Qualifications:

  • Highly analytical background with Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or similar quantitative field, combined with significant insurance pricing experience and deep understanding of market dynamics
  • Technically proficient in programming languages (Python, R, SQL) and comfortable using pricing tools like Earnix, Emblem, or Radar with proven ability to build sophisticated pricing models
  • Strategic thinker and collaborative leader who can develop innovative solutions to complex business challenges, communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, and thrive in fast-paced environments with changing priorities
