Regional chief risk officer hired by AXA Asia

AXA Asia has announced the appointment of Annie Tay as its new regional chief risk officer. She will report to Louis Laurent Josi, regional CEO and AXA Group chief risk officer, Alban De Nesle Mailly. At AXA Asia, Tay will be responsible for the entire risk management framework and ensure compliance and governance is maintained and managed on all levels. She will offer strategic advice on enterprise-risk matters with regards to customer, distribution, operational and product life cycle management. Josi said of the appointment: “I take great pleasure in welcoming Annie to the team at AXA Asia. We have embarked on our next 5-year strategy that is increasingly customer-focused and that requires us to continue to develop our ability to adapt to our customers’ evolving risk landscape and be able to anticipate tomorrow’s risks. Annie’s deep understanding of risk management makes her a strong fit to uphold and evolve AXA Asia’s risk culture.” Most recently Tay was director and CEO of Cubic Risk Solutions, a risk management firm she founded in 2010. She also worked for Ageas Insurance as its chief risk officer. She has also held management and specialist roles at MetLife Group, Tillinghast, and AM Best Europe. She has over two decades’ experience in the insurance industry.
