As part of this series, we’ll give you the chance to meet our management team, understand what makes them successful and what they are doing to ensure their team have the support needed to develop and grow in their career.
Meet Chirag Raichura. He heads up our accountancy and finance team. We asked him a series of questions to get to know him and his team a bit better.
How would you describe the culture of your team?
I would describe it as a very entrepreneurial culture; our consultants are running their own business within the Finance team. Eames also has a set of core values and ways of workings which we have all bought into as the fundamental principles required being successful. We also believe in having fun while we work and the desk is vibrant and full of banter so we are very focused on ensuring new members are a good team fit.
What successes have members of your team had over the past 12 months?
We have had great success in increasing our presence across the nanking and investment management sectors, being awarded PSL placements with some of the top companies in the market. The Finance team was launched in January 2015; it is now the same size as many of our competitors and continues to grow.
What’s the most rewarding part about managing your team?
I enjoy nurturing talent we have in the team and seeing them being successful for the effort they put in on a daily basis. I enjoy coaching and training my team and seeing people get promoted is very rewarding. It is also important to give the team as much responsibility and ownership in their roles as soon as possible.
How do you help the members in your team overcome challenges they might face?
I listen to the challenges they are facing and then discuss with them what they think is the best solution to the challenge. We will then work together on a plan of action using my experience and their focus to ensure we overcome the challenges they are facing.
Where do you see your team being in 12 months’ time?
Our common goal is to be the best Finance Permanent team in the city across Banking, Insurance and Investment Management with a team of 10 successful consultants.
What do you look for in anyone wanting to join the Finance team?
We look for people who are motivated and driven to be the best for themselves and the team. They must have strong listening skills, be good communicators and fit in to the culture of our team. Finally, we want people who are always looking to constantly improve themselves and be willing to learn.
