As part of this series, we’ll give you the chance to meet our management team, understand what makes them successful and what they are doing to ensure their team have the support needed to grow in their career.

Meet David Stacey. He heads up our Audit team. We asked him a series of questions to get to know him and his team a little better.

Can you give us a snapshot of your team?

I have two experienced recruiters in the Audit team with around 10 years in the industry. They are principal consultants. We regularly work with large banks with big audit teams. Smaller banks, asset managers, insurers and professional services clients with national coverage.

How would you describe the culture of your team?

Collegiate, supportive and grown up. Eames also has a set of core values and ways of workings which we have all bought into as the fundamental principles required being successful.

What successes have members of your team had over the past 12 months?

One of the team took a trip to Paris for lunch with the Eames High Achievers club earlier this year. The newest member of the team completed his first placement since joining Eames not long ago with a healthy £20,000 fee and has gone on to bill at the same level for the next 3 months.

What’s the most rewarding part about managing your team?

Seeing the hard work pay off. Recruitment will always present challenges and as a manager, an important part of your role is to help support your team through challenging times so it is great to see the team take pride and pleasure when they are doing well.

How do you help the members in your team overcome challenges they might face?

With so much experience in the team we usually have a solution for most issues that we face. I like to be as accessible as possible even if my team are able to find a solution themselves.

Where do you see your team being in 12 months’ time?

I would like our team to grow by two additional consultants allowing us to specialise into the sub-disciplines of our market.

What do you look for in anyone wanting to join the Audit team?

Self-motivation and professionalism. Real success comes from taking responsibility for your own business and being motivated to go the extra mile. For a long term and successful career in recruitment you need to be able to stand out from the crowd and often that means offering a more professional service than the competition.
