Now, more than ever, there's a strong call-to-action to press forward and progress gender parity. There's a strong call to #PressforProgress, motivating and uniting friends, colleagues and whole communities to think, act and be gender inclusive. This International Women's Day, we interviewed some of our female team asking them how they are pressing forward for progress and what being a woman in recruitment means today.

Meet Hazel, our Regional Head of Audit in Singapore.

Do you have any secrets to having a successful recruitment career?

Keep your head down and keep focused on the end result. Having goals is so important in recruitment.

What advice would you give aspiring women in the recruitment industry?

Understand your market –I don’t think this is different for any gender in the industry. Eames are known for being genuine specialists. I am lucky that I've been able to genuinely immerse myself in the regional audit market.

Who inspires you and why?

I am inspired by people in the industry that do well, whatever gender, seeing how they approach matters and learning from them.

What do you think is the most significant barrier to female leadership?

Have to earn the respect of men which I think still to this day is challenging.
