A leading life insurer is seeking an experienced actuarial professional who is nearly/newly qualified, to take up a manager-level position within their Regional Financial Reporting team based in Kuala Lumpur.
The team is responsible for covering Quarterly European Embedded Value Reporting, Business Planning and Annual Incentive Bonus Recommendation. As the Actuarial Valuation Manager, you will be responsible to lead and develop a team of 2 to ensure reporting requirements are fulfilled with accuracy within the given timeframe.
Key accountabilities:
- Managing the Quarterly EEV, Business Planning, Annual Incentive Bonus
- Providing management insights
- Executing valuation controls
- Ensure results are delivered with accuracy
- Identify gaps in current valuation control practice
- Lead and develop a team
Suitable candidates will have a strong academic background with at least 5 years' actuarial experience and a sound understanding with Malaysian regulatory framework. Familiarity with Takaful model and products will be an advantage. Candidates should possess good leadership and communicative skills. Proficiency in actuarial software and MS Office is essential
