A global private bank with a strong focus in Asia is looking to hire an AVP/VP – Operational Risk Manager.
You will be supporting the Operational Risk Lead, Asia to assist in developing/ maintaining the internal risk policies and procedures at a group level.
Responsibilities:
You will be assisting the Operational Risk Lead, Asia in all operational risk activities and will be responsible for:
- Identifying, assessing and monitoring risks on an ongoing firm-wide and individual entity basis
- Supporting the Head of Risk Management in its implementation, review and approval of the governance framework which includes Business Continuity Management and MAS Outsourcing guidelines
- Participating in local and global discussions to formulate new/ enhance existing control processes, policies and standards that reflect the local/ regional/ global regulatory requirements
- Reporting to senior management and the board or risk committee, as appropriate, on all these items, including but not limited to proposing appropriate risk-mitigating actions
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Group Operational Risk within the Private Banking sector
- Degree in Banking, Business, Accountancy or other relevant professional qualification
- Knowledge of the local MAS regulatory requirements; advantageous to have exposure to Outsourcing guidelines
- Good communication skills with the ability to work independently
