My client is a leading Global Insurance player with a solid footprint in Singapore. This is an exciting opportunity to own and deliver Business Continuity Management (BCM) initiatives across the Group.

Responsibilities: 

You will be managing all aspects of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) programme and will be responsible for:

  • Implementing all aspects of the BCM programme and ensuring compliance with the Group BCM framework and local regulatory requirements (MAS TRM/ Outsourcing Guidelines)
  • Coordinating and reviewing business impact analyses, resilience risk assessments, information security initiatives, data loss prevention tools and business continuity plans
  • Delivering Business Continuity exercises, senior management presentations and general staff awareness training
  • Assessing new regulatory requirements and ensure compliance of relevant guidelines whilst further standardizing & documenting business continuity processes to support consistent, efficient and repeatable processes

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a business continuity planning capacity within Financial Services industry (ideally within Insurance industry)
  • Experience in leading BCM workshops/ training exercises
  • Good to have a broader risk management exposure coupled with some project management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to multi-task and cope with pressure

Great opportunity to join this team focused Financial Crime Division. Supporting the Financial Crime Manager and other members of the Financial Crime Team you will provide advice to the business around sanctions. As business volumes dictates you will assist the team with many aspects of financial crime, including (but not limited to) financial crime investigations, Third Party Payments (TPPs), anti-bribery and corruption, AML and fraud prevention.

Key responsibilities include -

  • Support the Sanctions & AML Manager to perform risk assessments on new trading partner relationships to identify any sanctions and AML concerns; make recommendations based on findings and manage the business's expectations.
  • Work with the Financial Crime Manager and wider Financial Crime Team to provide support, advice and guidance regarding the financial crime framework, policies and procedures, which will guide the business to identify, assess and manage the respective risks.
  • Collate and present management information to the Financial Crime Manager including, details of on-going and completed investigations, third parties assessed, high risk clients reviewed, financial crime queries received and gifts and entertainment approvals.
  • Support the Financial Crime Manager with the production of financial crime reports.
  • Act as the main support to the Fraud and Investigations Manager for internal investigations as volumes dictate.
  • Support the ABC Manager to assess third parties and determine if they fall within our firms risk appetite.
  • Respond to a wide range of financial crime enquiries, ensuring that the information provided is clearly understood by the business.
  • Work with the Financial Crime Team to deliver targeted face-to-face training across the business and to communicate any necessary awareness initiatives.
  • Support Financial Crime Team related projects, providing assistance to manage and deliver these projects in a timely manner.
  • Support the Financial Crime Team to evaluate new products and services, clients and geographies to determine the level of financial crime risk, and update policies and procedures in order to mitigate those risks.

Qualifications & Experience required -

  • Educated to a degree level, or with equivalent experience
  • A basic understanding and working knowledge of current financial crime practices and techniques.
  • Experience of the working within, the UK regulatory framework as it applies to insurance/reinsurance/broking environment, with a particular focus on financial crime risk.
  • Understanding of latest regulatory developments and key current issues facing insurance brokers.
  • Knowledge of the UK and US Anti Money Laundering/Sanctions & Terrorist Financing regulatory environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Advocates client service as a core discipline.
  • Takes a hands-on practical problem-solving approach to achieving business outcomes and to ensuring that the right business culture and behaviours are being pursued.
  • Ability to deal constructively with uncertainty and ambiguity.
  • An excellent attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and good active listening skills
  • The ability to take a pragmatic/commercial approach in understanding and applying regulatory requirements.
  • Able to get up to speed on new subjects quickly, and deliver high quality output within tight deadlines
