We are working on an exciting opportunity to join a large insurer as a Risk Engineer. The role works closely with Underwriting and Business Development teams across the UK and Europe to contribute to growth of the portfolio through the provision of its risk engineering expertise and services. The portfolio consists of Property & Casualty lines of business.

To be considered for this role you will not need insurance experience, but you will need to have experience of working in risk/health & safety across industries such as automotive, electronics, manufacturing and general property. The insurance portfolio does not include sure and review risks that have food or drink, pulp and paper, oil and gas exposures but the risk profiles may include some renewable energy portfolios.

You will be qualified to a minimum of bachelor's degree level (engineering, science, technology, or mathematics) or with other appropriate technical qualifications or practical vocational experience. You will also have a basic knowledge in UK (BSEN) and international (FM / NFPA) sprinkler codes and/or a preferred health & safety qualification, e.g., NEBOSH National General Certificate.
