Job Description
- We are looking for a Claims Attorney specializing in Cyber Insurance. We are seeking a motivated attorney to manage first and third-party claims under specialty Cyber, Technology Errors and Omissions, and other professional liability policies. Responsibilities
- Interpret coverage and collaborate with external counsel and vendors to analyze and resolve claims.
- Conduct investigations, assess liability and damages exposure, and issue coverage position letters.
- Develop strategies for resolving litigated and non-litigated claims.
- Determine probable loss exposure, establish reserves, and maintain claim files according to company policy.
- Gain familiarity with insurance policies and company procedures within 30 days.
- Become proficient in internal systems and claims handling within 30 days.
- Develop confidence in communicating with insureds and brokers within 60-90 days.
- Manage a growing inventory of claims independently within 60-90 days.
- Work autonomously on coverage letters and claims resolution within 6 months.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
- 2-5 years of relevant legal or claims handling experience.
- Experience in Cyber Claims Handling and Open Market transactions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Professional conduct in various business settings.
- Travel: Up to 10% required.
