Job Description
- We are looking for a proactive Cyber Claims Examiner to join our growing team. This role involves investigating, analyzing, negotiating, and resolving increasingly complex cyber events and claims under general supervision. The ideal candidate will possess proven ability to investigate complex claims, draft coverage determinations, and communicate effectively with insureds and legal counsel.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze submitted claims to determine coverage under applicable policy forms.
- Investigate complex claims and coverage issues, drafting action plans for Claims Managers' approval.
- Independently manage claims with minimal coverage issues, establishing and revising claim reserves accordingly.
- Draft coverage determination letters, including reservation of rights and denial letters.
- Appoint defense and/or coverage counsel as necessary, obtaining updates on claim status.
- Authorize settlements within provided settlement authority, ensuring compliance with liability considerations.
- Conduct detailed bill reviews and maintain accurate claim files documenting all activities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing confidentiality and diplomacy
- Advanced organizational and analytical abilities; adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
- Ability to apply knowledge of industry changes and legal updates in Cyber Claims
Location and Compensation
- Hybrid/remote role according to managers' discretion.
- Annual salary range of $75,000-$105,000, commensurate with experience and location.
- Office locations available: Los Angeles, CA | Atlanta, GA | New York, NY (Remote if not near office).
