A global Digital/IoT technology business specializing in Energy & Renewables is expanding their R&D team in Singapore and are looking for Big Data Engineers / Data Architects. The business has grown massively since being founded in 2007 to develop innovative solutions to solve the challenges for a sustainable future. They have R&D teams globally and the Singapore team focuses on building smart solutions regionally. The Senior Data Architect works with stakeholders to assist with data related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Build Java based data services using microservices for key business metrics
- Build and maintain data pipeline architecture for ETL using Big Data
Skills/Experience:
- Post-graduate qualifications in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with strong foundations in algorithms and data structure.
- Strong programming skills in Java (web development technologies such as Spring, JMS, REST WebService, etc.)
- Advanced programming skills in SQL and experience with relational databases
- Experience in building and optimizing data pipelines using Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
