Day to day
- Maintaining a variety of in house databases and systems and improving them to assess the data estate and propose work plans for improvement / re-architecture
- Key involvement in the deployment of Microsoft data factory
- Daily Data run books - health assessment of systems and applications (maintenance tasks)
- Lots of redesign and restructure going on currently
- Scope to influence and redisen
- Liaise with management information team (MI team) and producing MI reports
- Should be involved of future planning of infrastructure

Main projects
- Managing data warehouse project
- A lot of migration projects underway - migrating from AWS to azure and other prvate clouds also to azure
- Potential data consolidation project underway they could take ownership of
Background
Must have
- SQL server
- Microsoft Power BI
- The ability to wrote and execute SQL queries
- A strong knowledge of databases and database maintenance
- A good understanding of Microsoft data warehouse/ data factory
- A strong understanding of database design and layout
Desirable
- Good background in reporting language and querying languages
- Ability to demonstrate maintenance plans for database environments
- Ability to demonstrate high level architecture designs for highly available databases
