The role:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager with expertise in .NET/C# and Azure to lead our talented engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of skilled developers, architects, and engineers to design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable software solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products aligned with business objectives.

The Day to Day:

  • Lead and mentor a team of .NET/C#/Azure engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Drive the design and development of complex software solutions using .NET/C# and Azure technologies, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural guidelines.

  • Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and other teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and excellence, encouraging team members to strive for continuous learning and development.

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and proactively identify opportunities to leverage new tools and techniques to improve efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) leading engineering teams in the development of .NET/C# applications, preferably in the financial services industry.

  • Strong technical expertise in .NET/C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, Azure Cloud Services, Azure DevOps, SQL Server, and other relevant technologies.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD practices, and DevOps principles.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
