Job Description

A high-performing private equity fund based in London is looking to appoint a finance associate to its finance team.

The fund has experienced exponential growth over the last five years, and performance across the board has been excellent. AUM is approximately £5bn, and the business is currently raising its latest fund.

The incumbent reports to the financial controller on the corporate side and will work closely with the funds finance team.

Responsibilities will largely focus on the corporate side with opportunities to support the funds finance team. There is a plethora of project-focused work to get stuck into, including plenty of value-added financial analysis which ensure variety in the day to day as well as providing runway for progression.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Production of monthly management accounting packs
  • Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Production of corporate accounts for the UK-based entities
  • Supporting the fund accounting team with quarterly fund reporting
  • Oversight of the AP function

Company culture is a significant selling point, and the firm prides itself on collaboration and inclusivity across all teams.

Requirements include:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent. Experience can vary between newly qualified to 1-2 years post-qualification.
  • Experience can come from a similar industry role (ideally, although not essential, this would be another fund in private equity or alternative investments) or from an audit practice.

Salary is between £60,000-£70,000 with strong bonus potential, a generous benefits package and a hybrid working setup.
