A Finance Business Partner opportunity with a FTSE 250 business has arisen to be based in their Fareham office. This opening is the result of an internal move/promotion. The main purpose of this role is to understand the financial dynamics of the corporate business unit, and partner with the different functions to enable them to deliver maximum value.
Key duties
- Responsibility for the financial oversight of functional expenses. Managing the annual budget/plan and regular forecasting process through close work with the business
- Report and analyse the functional financial performance to both Operations and Finance management
- Providing functional management with financial insights and advice on performance drivers
- Providing detailed financial analysis on all aspects of business performance
- Acting as point of contact for all complex financial queries – being the liaison between the business units and other finance teams
- Providing expert financial advice to the business in order to support the development and tracking of global functional initiatives
- Involved in primary activities of the function, delivering financial expertise to identify and solve business problems
- Partner with Group Reporting & Controlling functions in order to track the progress of financial metrics
The ideal candidate
- Accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or MBA
- Degree educated
- Commercial focused / business mindset
- Good financial modelling (Excel) skills
- Demonstrated contribution to large scale, multi-disciplinary projects
- Proven experience in a performance management role, ideally for a large/complex multinational
- Exposure to Shared Services organisations would be an advantage
- First-class interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence and present ideas clearly
