Rare opportunity for a Financial Controller to work for a Global Bank in an expanding team managing a cost base of around $4bn. Suitable candidates must be fully qualified accountants (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equiv.) and hold prior experience operating within Financial Control within a financial services institution. This role has become available following internal mobility.
Responsibilities
- The role holder will support activities for the Bank’s Service Companies entities in UK
- Responsible for the General ledger and period end submissions and reporting activities. Visibility of the role will be high as the establishment of the accounting processes for the service companies will be key to the success of the separation of the operating banks in the UK and globally;
- Perform financial operation activities associated with statutory, regulatory and internal audit requirements.
- Responsible for management reporting activities and tax requirements and submissions
- Support in the design of control and standard operating procedures for the Financial control functions for the division
- Managing and overseeing offshore operational accounting team
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or international equivalent
- Background in Financial Control gained within Financial Services institutions
- Experience with statutory reporting
- Degree educated
- Right to work in the UK
