A commodites company with a diverse business interest in Asia is looking to hire a regional financial controller (Singapore based) as the portfolio expands.
As regional financial controller, you will be handling the strategic operations of the group, supported in operational activities by a small shared service centre and regional reports. This position reports directly into the Global CFO, but is the primary business partner to the executive level throughtout the region.
The best suited candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate excellent business acumen, financial aptitude, and strong collaboration skills that transcend borders – while overseeing the efficiency of day to day activities. The partnership with the business must be built on a solid foundation and maintained through mutual trust. You will be accountable to provide insight into opportunities, challenges and risks in different business arenas.
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance or related field – further qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) a must; MBA or advanced studies desirable.
- 8 years’ experience in a similar role inside of a commodity/trading company; specifically in analytical finance.
- Sound knowledge of local and regional financial norms and an interest in staying abreast on regulation changes.
- Proven experience with internal and external stakeholder management.
- Excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
